FAQ'S

YOUR SKINCARE CEREMONY BEGINS HERE!

How can I prepare for my facial?

To ensure the best results and avoid any potential irritation, proper preparation is key. Here’s what to do before your facial:

Avoid Sun Exposure: Please stay out of the sun and avoid sunbathing for at least 24 hours before your facial. This will help prevent any sensitivity and allow your skin to be in the best possible condition for your treatment. If you’ve recently been in the sun, it’s especially important to give your skin time to recover.

Refrain from Actives: Discontinue all active skincare ingredients (like acids, Vitamin C, retinoids, and retinol) at least 3 days prior to your facial. These ingredients can make your skin more sensitive, and we want your skin to be in its most balanced state.

If You’re Getting a Peel: If you’re planning on getting a peel, make sure to stop using any retinoids or tretinoin at least 7 days prior to your treatment. This will help avoid excessive irritation and ensure your skin can properly absorb the treatment.

Avoid Intense Heat: Please avoid working out, using saunas, doing hot yoga, or spending time in steam rooms before your facial. These activities can cause your skin to become too heated and sensitive, making it harder to get the full benefit of your facial.

By following these simple steps, you’ll set yourself up for a more comfortable and effective facial experience. Your skin will be prepped and ready to receive all the nourishing benefits from your treatment!

What’s the recommended post-facial skincare routine?

After your facial, it’s normal for your skin to go through a bit of purging as it clears out impurities – this is totally normal and part of the healing process! To give your skin the best chance to heal, please avoid using any actives like acids, Vitamin C, tretinoin, or retinoids until your skin is fully healed. We want to focus on hydration!

For the next few days, please stick to gentle cleansers and moisturizers. Give your skin a break by refraining from working out for at least 24 hours to prevent dehydration. Drink plenty of water, stay out of direct sun, wear SPF, and avoid makeup for 12-24 hours (ideally) to let your skin breathe and repair itself.

Most importantly, don’t pick at your skin! If anything pops up, just cleanse and moisturize. Keeping it simple will help your skin heal naturally and give you the best results.
